Require Missouri Police to Use Body Cameras When Dealing with the Public
If police aren’t wearing body cameras or if they’re not turned on, we’re missing a vital tool to keep our communities safe. Investigations become about the word of one party against another and rely on eye-witness accounts.
We’ve seen the fallout from incidents in which body cameras weren’t used over and over again, including earlier this week in Ferguson.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Body cameras remove guesswork from the equation and protect both the public and the police.
